We are searching for our Director of Workforce Development. Is that you?
We’re looking for an energetic and dedicated Director of Workforce Development to join our Greater Grant County team! In this key role, you’ll help connect local students with meaningful career opportunities by building strong partnerships between employers, schools, and the community. You’ll coordinate internships and job shadowing programs, ensuring students gain hands-on experience that aligns with their career goals. Working closely with our Talent Coalition—a group of industry partners, educators, and community leaders—you’ll help shape and guide initiatives that support workforce development in our region.
Your day-to-day will involve cultivating relationships with local employers, schools, and colleges, while also organizing career events and workshops to connect students with local industries. You’ll be a resource for employers, helping them understand how to structure impactful internship experiences and provide mentorship to the next generation of talent. You'll also play a strategic role, developing long-term plans for workforce development programs and seeking out grant funding to support new initiatives.
We’re looking for someone with a background in workforce development, career counseling, or education, and experience working with diverse stakeholders. Strong communication, organization, and project management skills are a must, along with a passion for helping students discover and pursue their career paths. If you’re ready to make a real impact on our community’s future workforce, we’d love to have you on our team!
